Everyone writes at some point in their lives. As a student, you have to write essays and other assignments about certain topics. Your thesis or dissertation are pieces of writing that you need to get your degree. Dur to the Internet, societies have grown and changed. Young people can now apply for scholarships and study in different countries.

If you don’t speak English as your first language, this might seem hard at first. People who don’t speak English as their first language always compare themselves to native speakers and think they’ll never be as good as them. But this shouldn’t keep you from going forward. There are a lot of assignment writing guides on the Internet that can help you write an essay or describe a picture. If you don’t speak English as your first language, this article will help you write good articles.

    1. Enlarge Your Vocabulary!

People who don’t speak English as their first language tend to have a small vocabulary, especially when they first start learning English. Many of them think this is wrong, but it’s just how people are. You are learning a new language, so every day you can find something new. So, it’s important to add more words to your vocabulary and use them in your articles. Don’t keep using the same words, because they’ll lose their meaning. Instead, use a thesaurus to find words that mean the same thing.

Choose a word from the list that means the same thing as your original word and look up what it means in a dictionary. This will let you decide if it makes sense and also help you learn new words. You can also use the Oxford Online Collocation Vocabulary to find out if two words go well together. As with probably every other language, there are some exceptions to the rules in English.

    1. Use Writing Tools

If you are not a native English speaker, you can also write good articles by using the tools that help you write better. A few years ago, you would have had to do this if you wanted to. But thanks to how technology and the internet have changed, you can now download or use software programmes that help you get better at writing.

For example, you can check your article with Grammarly. Grammarly will find spelling and grammar mistakes and also suggest ways to make your writing clearer and more interesting. This will help you write articles with correct grammar and will also teach you the rules of English grammar. It’s the reason why some sentences are too long and hard to understand. It gives ideas on how to change some words or get rid of adverbs. They look at the text through the lens of Ernest Hemingway’s writing style, which is mostly made up of short sentences.

    1. Join a group of writers.

Now, it’s easier to meet people from all over the world who share your interests. You only need a good Internet connection and a Facebook group. If you don’t speak English as your first language, making friends with people who think like you will help you improve your writing. In these groups, people talk about one of the most important things about the language.

Writers with more experience will give you tips on how to improve your writing. At the same time, you can ask them for advice or feedback on your work. You can get ideas from their success and set goals for yourself that are similar. These pieces of advice are some of the most helpful you will get. Joining a writers’ group on Facebook, Reddit, or any other website will help you improve your skills and writing.

    Conclusion

If English is not your first language, it can be hard at first to write good articles in English. It’s not impossible, though. You just need to be driven, committed, and persistent, and learn a few tips and tricks to get started. You can get better at writing in English in a few ways besides just practising. Some of them will check your writing for mistakes in grammar and spelling and suggest new words.

When you’re writing an article, look for other words that mean the same thing as the words you use most often. Read English books to learn new words and phrases and to find out how they are used. Join a writers’ group to meet other people who like to write. Share what you’ve learned, ask for advice, tips, and tricks, and then use what you’ve learned. Even though English is not your first language, you are now on your way to writing good articles in English.
