    Mental health is very fragile and should be ensured that it always remains healthy at every point of life. Because it is the only way one can take efficient yet essential decisions in life. Several symptoms of mental illness exist all over the place as a result of severe mental health disorders. This ensures that a proper health treatment exists which can cater to the needs of as many individuals engulfing it with the right kind of treatment for the illness.

    There are several types of mental health facilities and the best one is dependent on our needs. The best facility can be on the basis of-

    • It is short-term or long-term- the duration of the facility and for how long would it help the person to ensure stability.
    • Personal or group treatment – it varies according to the needs and what can be proved most beneficial for the patient among the individual talk therapy sessions and the group sessions.

    No matter what kind of mental illness you are suffering from, you can get a suitable facility. However, the lack of awareness makes it a little difficult for the family or close ones of the patient and for the patient themselves thus complete and detailed research is necessary to decide the correct treatment.

    Types of Treatment

    1. Outpatient therapy

    The kind of mental health facilities that focus on offering a day program to the patient. This means that the patient visits the therapist and the professionals for treatment according to their set appointment. The treatment focuses on Developing management skills and sensibility so as to get a normal life again, this is through treatments like-

    • Individual therapy session
    • Group sessions
    • Medication management

    These treatments help the person cope with the mental illness with more courage and self-confidence. This day’s treatment does not involve the patient staying overnight but is suitable for their illness.

    1. Inpatient mental  health facility

    In this facility, the person requires 24-hour care and supervision from the professionals which require them to get admitted to seek professional help on an hourly basis. Here apart from the usual therapy sessions, the individual growth is also focused through various activity sessions, group sessions and yoga and medication. This kind of facility can be described as an emergency centre that aims at stabilising the mental ability of the patient with the short term daily basis treatment. This treatment is often for 30 days and can exceed depending on the patient’s health situation. This kind of treatment is usually very successful in terms of the results and the way it helps the patients to learn to tackle stress and invest their time in their family and loved ones.

    There exists various kinds of treatment these two stand as the most important and effective , one of the major reasons that these are counted as most successful is because of its main focus on therapy sessions.

    Therapy sessions

    It comprises of the therapist and the patient which involves a therapeutic relation between the talk. Let us shed light on some of the major points that therapy sessions focus on-

    • Communication-greater emphasis on communication is done by the the therapist. Itbis believed that communicating and sharing personal things help the person to moving on with better solutions rather than getting them get affected on mental health.
    • Moral sessions– people suffering from mental illness are so consumed by sadness and emotions that they are being educated on life and how it is normal to face problems but focusing on oneself is the most important and basic to live a peaceful and healthy life.
    • Emphasis on acceptance– acceptance is key and moving on with learning the life aspects. Problems exist in everyone’s life and accepting this is very important, life cannot be a bed of roses and at every phase the individual has to face a lot of challenges but facing them with all courage keeping the mental health stable is really essential.

    Accepting that you are suffering from a mental illness is very challenging and people often feel ashamed to accept and ask for a help. The fear to share  what one is facing then tends to keep everything within themselves which proves to be more dangerous. Thus these kinds of treatments are the best to provide a platform for the person suffering to share their vulnerability with the therapist without the fear of being judged and ridiculed by the people around them.

    People suffering from mental illness requires support and a push from their close ones to accept the fact they require help. Seeking help is something that should come from within but at the same time sometimes the family support is required when everyone is there to judge . it is a very important and at the same time a tough journey that can only be succeeded when there is a genuine encouragement from close ones and self confidence about dealing with the journey of living life in peace.
