The original light novel is written by Tappei Nagatsuki and illustrated by Shinichirou Otsuka, published in Japan since 2013. The anime adaptation was released in April 2016 for two arcs, with a break between the first episode of each arc, starting with the Re: Zero Starting Life in Another World Season 1 (Re: Zero karas Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu Dai-Ichi-Kan) – consisting of 25 episodes for this arc.
However, there is still no news about whether or not it will be continued after that, but I think they might already start working on it after the release of the Re: Zero Blu-ray/DVD BOX 1 in July 2016, so we can expect it to be back on autumn or winter 2017. And for those who want to watch the whole season 1, they will be releasing it on DVD and Blu-ray on October 24th, 2016.

Here are some new official releases for this season 3 that were made available just recently: Anime Japan 2017 flyer that confirmed re zero kara hajimeru isekai seikatsu will be there on March 25 th, 2017 (the original light novel’s 5th anniversary), The 3rd Drama CD was released on April 20 th, 2017. Fans can’t wait for the anime to come back, and hopefully, it will be as good as last season.
Re zero season 3 release date:
I’m also excited to hear that there will be a new episode for the OVA series again. On March 25th, 2016, they aired an OVA special called re zero kara hajimeru isekai seikatsu: Dainishou – Yashiki no Isshuukan-hen which was basically about Subaru’s POV of what happened during the 5th episode of season 1.
It was so good and it made you feel like you were inside his head, with all those emotions he felt at some point or another throughout that arc. So I can’t wait to see how this one will come out too! And hopefully, they reveal more information about it soon! Here are some recently released official artworks for the anime, check them out!
Re zero season 3 cast
The anime’s first season was aired during the Spring 2016 anime season, and spanned 25 episodes split into two cours . It adapted the story to as far as episode 16 of the light novel series. The second season, airing in April 2017 for 12 episodes, adapts up until chapter 21 or chapter 13 of Season 1’s translated version by J-Novel Club, covering part 9 through Part 2 Interlude II.
The third season was confirmed to be in production at ” Re:Zero Fan Meeting 2017″ during March 19. This article attempts to lay out the information about the third season, and speculates on what exactly might happen next based on previous events in the light novel series.
It also tries to make educated guesses about which web novels (doujinshi stories set before or after the main story) might be used as source material for possible episodes, like what happened with Season 1’s Episode 15, OVA , which was based off of an original episode written by Tappei Nagatsuki , author of Re:Zero .
Please be warned that some of the descriptions below include spoilers for Season 1 and 2 of the anime, as well as future events in the light novel series.
