Tyre makers make tyres with proper endurance and strength. If you have bought high-grade tyres from a trusted dealer, you do not need to worry about their performance. However, you have to consider the health of your car tyres. New tyres come with perfect health conditions. They will serve you for a long time if you keep them mechanically fit with the help of proper maintenance.

Your Tyres Reading run directly on roads and face several problems that damage them over time. If you wish to reduce the rate of wear and tear in tyres, you have to be aware of these vital problems.

In this blog, we have a useful list of common issues that car tyres face during their lifespan.

    Have a look!

    Tyre Punctures:

Let us begin the story with the most common problem. Since your tyres run on open roads, you cannot save them completely from road debris like iron nails, pieces of glass, screws etc.

These objects are enough to penetrate the body of your car tyres to make a small hole. You can assume easily that this hole will cause air leakage in tyres and you will get a flat tyre in return.

You know well that driving on a flat tyre is not possible. Air pressure is a vital factor to drive a car on roads. Thus, you have to repair your car tyres as soon as possible with the help of a professional.

Sometimes, punctures take place in the sidewall to make the repair work risky for the car driver. Moreover, mechanics usually do not repair punctures with extra depth and size because of the severity of the damage. In this condition, repair work is not possible and you have to change your existing tyre as soon as possible.

    Blowouts:

This problem is quite similar to the problem of punctures. In punctures, a sharp object will make a small hole in the body of your car tyres. Blowouts happen suddenly with a loud sound and damage a part of your tyre to allow the air to seep out quickly. The rate of the loss of air is faster than the loss of air when a puncture takes place in tyres.

Your tyres may explode due to several reasons. These reasons include improper inflation, friction, heat, tread wear etc.

You may save your tyres from blowout if you avoid these reasons and maintain your tyres well.

Cracks and bulges on the sidewall:

Your tyres experience ageing over time just like other things in the world. They will show different sizes of cracks on their sidewall to indicate that they are ageing. The process of ageing is a natural process since your tyres are made up of rubber. Rubber is a biodegradable substance that will wear out naturally over time.

Factors like sunshine, heat and UV rays increase the process of ageing. Therefore, it is better you save your tyres from factors. You can make your best efforts but you cannot stop the exposure completely. Your tyres function in open conditions to face these factors.

    Tread Wear:

Look at a new tyre, you will observe a fresh tread pattern with optimum tread depth. But after some years, the same tyres will show signs of tread wear. The tread depth will reduce slowly and it will reach the minimum legal limit of 1.6mm. At this time, you need to change your tyres since driving on bald tyres is a risky decision.

The tread of tyres wears out due to several reasons like heat, friction, bad weather and driving conditions, and ageing. Repair work for this problem is not possible. The only solution you have is to change the worn tyres of your vehicle.

    Wrong Inflation Level:

Your tyres need air pressure to perform on roads. To add another fact in the information, you need to keep the air pressure at the correct level. Every set of tyres comes with a different level of air pressure. You have to check your user manual to determine the correct level of inflation for your tyres.

Car tyres experience several issues related to handling and performance if you keep them wrongly inflated. High air pressure in tyres will make the ride very uncomfortable because of a decreased contact area. On the other hand, low air pressure in tyres will increase the rolling resistance and fuel consumption due to a large contact patch.

Moreover, your Tyres Burghfield Hill will wear out quickly if you keep them improperly inflated for a long time. To avoid these problems, check the air pressure in car tyres regularly and try to keep the inflation level stable while you drive your car.
